Maintenance Generalist

Klamath Health Partnership is currently seeking a Maintenance Generalist. PT, ability to safely perform minor maintenance repair and custodial work. Must have clean DMV record.

Nurse Care Manager
This position assumes a leadership role within the interdisciplinary team; provides clinical case management services aimed at enhancing patient-centered care and maximizing outcomes across the patient care continuum; coordinating care and resources with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Case management services include patient advocacy and education, monitoring patient care to ensure progress toward desired outcome, addressing patient and family needs and resolving obstacles to effective care.

This is a permanent full-time position with great benefits. BS degree in Nursing or equivalency, current RN licensure in the State of Oregon; 2 years of professional experience in a clinically related area; demonstrated team leadership, relationship building, possess and demonstrate critical thinking skills and clinical problem solving techniques, critical analysis, and written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of funding resources, clinical standards and outcomes is also required.

Medical Assistants: Medical Support Staff should have at least six months experience in a family practice setting. A high school diploma with associates or undergraduate degree is preferred. Ability to calculate drug dosages is a must. Interview patients; accurately measure vital signs and record information on patients’ charts. Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients. Assist Provider with examinations and procedures as directed. Maintain cleaned and stocked exam rooms. Clean and sterilize instruments. Operate electrocardiograph (EKG), and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests. Call medical facility or department to schedule patients for tests. Give injections or treatments. Perform routine laboratory tests. Participate in quality assurance measures. Schedule patient appointments.


Dental Assistant: Dental Support Staff preferably should have dental assisting experience. Radiology certificate required. The Dental Assistant is responsible for a variety of technical duties while assisting the dentist in the examination and treatment of patients. Working chair-side, the Dental Assistant hands instruments and materials to the dentist and dries the patient's mouth with suction equipment during treatments. May take vital signs and review patient health history, updating as necessary. Provide initial evaluation of emergency patients and fill out med consults. The Dental Assistant performs related duties involved in the care and maintenance of dental instruments, equipment and supplies. The Dental Assistant may also mix filling compounds, take impressions of teeth, and provide patients with postoperative instructions. The Dental Assistant will lay out necessary instruments for procedures. Take dictation from dentist, fill out various chart forms and treatment plans; review forms and treatment plans with patients as needed.


Medical Intake Specialists: Medical Intake Support Staff will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months’ related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. The Medical Intake Specialist is responsible for interviewing incoming patients or representatives by obtaining and recording name, address, age, income, person to notify in case of emergency, name of physician they are to see and individual or insurance company’s responsible for payment. The Medical Intake Specialist will contact insurance company to verify patient coverage and obtain information concerning extent of benefits. Explain clinic regulations such as hours, payment of accounts and schedule of charges. The Medical Intake Specialist must enter this information for patient admission info into a computer in a timely manner consistent with clinic registration procedures. The Medical Intake Specialist will also schedule office appointments according to office guidelines. Confirm appointments and reschedule appointments when necessary. Monitor no-shows and cancellations.


Dental Intake Specialists: Dental Intake Support Staff will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months’ related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with cash handling. The Dental Intake Specialist is responsible for interviewing incoming patients or representatives. The Dental Intake Specialist must enter information required for patient admission info into a computer in a timely manner consistent with clinic registration procedures. Interview patients to obtain and record name, address, age, income, person to notify in case of emergency, name of dentist they are to see and individual or insurance company responsible for payment. Contact insurance company to verify patient coverage and obtain information concerning extent of benefits. Explain clinic regulations such as hours, payment of accounts and schedule of charges. Schedule office appointments according to office guidelines. Confirm appointments and reschedule appointments when necessary. Monitor no-shows and cancellations.


Billing Specialist: Billing Support Staff will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months’ related experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience. Knowledge of procedure codes and diagnosis (ICD-9 and CPT codes). Knowledge of OHP and insurance billing procedures. Possess the tact necessary to deal effectively with patients, physicians and employees. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with basic accounting practices, medical billing procedures and cash balancing. Familiarity with cash handling. The Medical Billing Specialist is responsible for accounts receivable, posting encounter slips, hospital charges and payments. The Billing Specialist performs account audits whenever necessary to ascertain correctness of account balance.


Medical Billing Collections/Checkout Specialist: Billing Checkout Support Staff will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months’ related experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience. Knowledge of procedure codes and diagnosis (ICD-9 and CPT codes). Basic knowledge of insurance payment practices. Possess the tact necessary to deal effectively with patients, physicians and employees. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. The Medical Billing Collections/Check-out Specialist is responsible primarily for collections of private pay balances for accounts receivable. Collect and post patient payments received in the clinic at time of check-out. Take credit card payments. Problem solve if incorrect billing/posting has occurred. Update account notes with new information regarding collections and bankruptcy notices. Send out reminder notice, final notices with financial hardship as stated on the collection policy. Follow-up monthly and refer accounts for collections to the Credit Bureau after auditing account and verifying debt.


Medical Records Clerk: Medical Records Support Staff will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months’ related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. The Medical Records Clerk is responsible for compiling, verifying, and filing medical records of Klamath Health Partnership, Inc. The Medical Records Clerk is also responsible to act as backup for answering and routing incoming calls to appropriate departments, taking messages; writing triage requests, and forwarding these to appropriate medical staff. Maintain confidentiality standards for medical records. Prepare folders and maintain records for all patients. Review medical records for completeness. Assemble records into standard order and file records in designated areas according to numeric filing system. Locate, sign, and deliver medical records requested by clinic departments. Utilize the computer to enter and retrieve data. Post results of laboratory tests, dictation, reports and correspondence to records after provider has reviewed them. Handle incoming phone calls and respond to requests from outside offices, patients, insurance entities for record requests and information.
